JobCard: Terms of Service & Privacy Notice (template)

This is a placeholder template, not legal text reviewed by an attorney. It must be reviewed by qualified legal counsel, and updated for POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act) compliance specific to how JobCard collects, stores, and releases personal contact details, before being relied on in production.

1. What JobCard does

JobCard lets jobseekers build a Job Card profile (CV information, documents, and a formatted CV) and apply to job board positions, and lets registered recruiting companies post those positions and search the candidate database.

2. Personal information

A jobseeker's contact details are shown to a recruiting company once that jobseeker has applied to their posting, or once the company has candidate search access and the jobseeker has opted in to be discoverable. A recruiting company's contact details are shown to a jobseeker once they've applied to that company's posting.

3. Fees

JobCard charges recruiting companies a fee to unlock certain features (publishing a job board posting, or searching the candidate database); the amount to pay is shown on the relevant screen before the feature unlocks. Fees may change from time to time.

4. Data retention

JobCard does not delete historical application, posting, or payment records; accounts and records may be marked inactive/cancelled instead, so that history remains auditable.

5. Contact
